- 2 filet mignon steaks 1.5–2 inches thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Optional Add-Ons:
- Fresh herbs e.g., rosemary or thyme
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Lemon wedges for garnish
Prepare the Steaks:
Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Rub both sides with olive oil to help the seasoning stick and promote a golden crust.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, pressing gently to adhere.
Cook the Steaks:
Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook for 9-11 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer:
Rare: 120–125°F / Medium-Rare: 130–135°F / Medium: 140–145°F / Well-Done: 150°F and above
Rest the Steaks: Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board, loosely tented with foil, for 5 minutes to redistribute the juices.
