Equipment

  • Kitchen shears or sharp knife
  • Small bowl for mixing garlic butter sauce
  • Basting brush or spoon
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Meat thermometer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster Tails

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin.
  • Gently pull the lobster meat out of the shell, leaving it attached at the base, and rest the meat on top of the shell ("piggyback style").

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Brush the Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

  • Arrange the prepared lobster tails on the baking sheet.
  • Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat, ensuring it is thoroughly coated.

Bake the Lobster Tails

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat becomes opaque and firm. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from the oven and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the lobster tails.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty finishing touch.
