Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Sharp Knife
  • Meat Thermometer (optional, but recommended)
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 450g pork belly
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Olive oil spray optional
  • Optional: Chili flakes soy sauce, hoisin glaze for variations

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Belly

  • Pat the pork belly dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin. Score the skin in a crosshatch or straight pattern using a sharp knife.

Season the Pork Belly

  • Rub salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika evenly over the pork belly, ensuring it gets into the scored skin. Optional: Spritz the skin with olive oil for extra crispiness.

Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Cook the Pork Belly

  • Place the pork belly skin-side up in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Rest and Serve

  • Allow the pork belly to rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
